Wollongong Sheet Metal & Engineering is a sheet metal fabricator and a supplier of a range of sheet metal products. The business can trace its origins back to the 1930s where it traded as Varley Aluminium and previous to that, Fredrick Ash Pty Ltd.

In 2021, and under new management, the company renewed its image (to WSM & Engineering) and substantially increased its capabilities and capacity. In addition to its traditional sheet metal competencies, the company now undertakes larger and heavier fabrication style projects, both workshop and site-based.
The company also has a specialist team of maintenance engineers comprising fitters, boilermakers, welders and riggers, capable of performing on-site maintenance and repairs to a range of assets and equipment. Our personnel also provide services during plant outages and down days at sites across the Illawarra and Southern Highlands.
